I haven’t written in a long time, that much is obvious. Why I haven’t written is probably due to my attention span for creating things (not all that long, I assure you) as well as my habit-making abilities, of which I have none. Whether good or bad, I can’t seem to make a habit of anything. Well, that’s not entirely true – I do seem to have a habit of wasting time on the internet. I have trouble viewing that as a habit, though, as I don’t feel I’m actively ‘doing’ something.

I’ve been reading “50 Reasons People Give for Believing in a God” lately. It’s a great book, and a fascinating read in regards to the logical, anthropological and sociological viewpoints in it. Like most of the atheist-oriented books I’ve read, however, it doesn’t bring anything new to me. I suppose I am an atheist because I’ve already come to all of the conclusions the myriad books on atheism assert. It’s probably time I start picking up copies of religious scripture and reading them to become familiar with what’s in them, should I ever be asked why I don’t believe in such-and-such. I tried to get through the bible, though, and it was a painfully boring experience. Not to mention the language in it is wretched – it’s very obvious to me it was penned by more primitive minds.
What should I pick up next? The Koran? There are plenty of copies at any Borders. The Book of Mormon? Eh. I believe you can only by that from the LDS church. For the same reason, I won’t be reading any Scientologist texts.

That’s about all I have the attention to write of today. If I manage to make a better habit of this, hopefully it shall come easier.
